2 Teams will Enter the league Via Expansion in the Y4 offseason following the Playoffs
The ST. Louis Blues and the Edmonton Oilers will enter the league.
The Oilers West Division will be in the Gretzky Conference and North Division
The Blues will be in the Lemieux Conference and East Division (yes I know this is not Geographically correct but neither was the NHL in the 90s)
RULES:
24 years old and under will be exempt from selection but keep in mind players will age 1 year before the draft. (must be 23 before re rates, and 24 now (after re rates).
Teams will submit a protection list of:
10 Skaters
or
7 F, 3 D, 1 G
UFA Players will be eligible to be selected in the expansion draft and will need to be protected if the team chooses to do so.
Each team will lose 2 players to Expansion Draft.
Teams Can Negotiate with the expansion teams but cannot post deals until after the playoffs.
Expansion teams will be awarded 3 G signs each
Expansion teams will be given picks 5 and 6 in the draft
